حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ؟ قَالَ «هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِمَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتِهِ»
Translation

✧ I said, "O Messenger of God, a man from the polytheists who accepts Islam at the hands of a man from the Muslims?" He said, "He is the closest of the people to his living and his dying."
