حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُعَلَّى الْعَطَّارِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ مَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ
مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي الْجَدْيِ؟ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يُصَلِّي فَمَرَّ جَدْيٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَبَادَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلَقَدْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا وَإِنَّ حِمَارَةً لِلْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ تَرْعَى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»

✧ What do you say about the grandfather? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying and his grandfather passed by in front of him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hastened to face the Qibla. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed one day and there was a donkey belonging to Al-Fadl ibn Abbas grazing in front of him.
