حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْيَامِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ مِنْ عِنْدِ قَوْمٍ مَا يَتَزَوَّدُ لَهُمْ رَاعٍ وَلَا يَخْطِرُ لَهُمْ فَحْلٌ فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيعًا غَدَقًا طَبَقًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ» ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَمَا يَأْتِينَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ مِنَ الْوُجُوهِ إِلَّا قَالَ قَدْ أَحْيَيْتَنَا

✧ A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of God, by God, I have come to you from a people for whom no shepherd sets out provisions and no stallion passes by them." So he ascended the pulpit, praised God, and then said: "O God, give us a rain that rescues, makes fruitful, abundant, covering (the earth), swift, and not delayed." Then he descended, and no one came to us from any direction except that he said, "You have revived us."
