حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ
ثنا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيُّ عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِالْوَحْيِ لَمْ يَفْرُغْ حَتَّى يُزَمَّلَ مِنَ الْوَحْيِ حَتَّى يَتَكَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَأَوَّلِهِ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ لِمَ تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «مَخَافَةَ أَنْ أَنْسَى» فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَى}

✧ Abu Malik al-Janbi narrated to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "When Jibril ﷺ brought revelation to the Prophet ﷺ, he would not finish until the Prophet ﷺ began to speak the first of it, out of fear that he would faint. Jibril said to him: 'Why do you do that?' He said: 'Out of fear that I might forget.' Then Allah ﷻ revealed: {We will make you recite, so you will not forget}."
