حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ثنا جَارِيَةُ بْنُ هَرِمٍ ثنا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عِلَّةٍ» فَقِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَا أَرَادَ بِذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «التَّوَسُّعَ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ»

✧ "The Prophet ﷺ combined Zuhr and 'Asr, and Maghrib and 'Isha' in Madinah without any reason." It was said to Ibn 'Abbas: "What did he intend by that?" He said: "To make things easier for his Ummah."
