حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ قَابُوسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُسْرِعًا وَنَحْنُ قُعُودٌ فَأَفْزَعَنَا سُرْعَتُهُ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَيْنَا سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَقَدْ أَقْبَلْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ مُسْرِعًا لِأُخْبِرَكُمَ بِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَنَسِيتُهَا فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْآوَاخِرِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to us in haste while we were sitting, and his haste startled us. When he reached us, he greeted and then said: "I came to you in haste to inform you about the Night of Decree, but I forgot it between me and you, so seek it in the last ten nights."
