حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ حَاجَتُهُمَا وَاحِدَةٌ فَسَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَوَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِيهِ أَخْلَافًا فَقَالَ لَهُ «أَمَا تَسْتَاكُ؟» قَالَ إِنِّي لِأَفْعَلُ وَلَكِنْ لَمْ أَطْعَمْ طَعَامًا مُنْذُ ثَلَاثٍ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَجُلًا فَأَقْرَاهُ وَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ»

✧ Two men came to the Prophet of God ﷺ with one need. One of them greeted, and the Messenger of God ﷺ noticed an unpleasant odor from his mouth. He said to him, "Do you not use the tooth stick (siwāk)?" He replied, "I do, but I have not eaten any food for three days." So he ordered a man to host him and fulfill his need.
