حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّامِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا مُخْتَارُ بْنُ غَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُحَيَّاةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَنَا آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ أَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَجَهَنَّمَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحُدُودَ فَإِذَا مِتُّ فَأَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ وَمَوْعِدُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ فَمَنْ وَرَدَ أَفْلَحَ وَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِهِمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أُمَّتِي فَيُقَالُ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ مُرْتَدِّينَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: 'I am holding you back by your waist-wrappers from the Fire, saying: Beware of Hell, beware of the prescribed punishments. When I die, I will be your forerunner, and your appointed place is at the Pond. Whoever reaches it will succeed. And some people will come and be taken to the left. I will say: O Lord, my community. It will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you, turning back on their heels.'
