حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ لَيْلَى امْرَأَةَ بَشِيرٍ قَالَتْ أَخْبَرَنِي بَشِيرٌ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَصُومُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلَا أُكَلِّمُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ أَحَدًا قَالَ «لَا تَصُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا فِي أَيَّامٍ هُوَ آخِرُهَا وَأَمَّا لَا تُكَلِّمُ أَحَدًا فَلَعَمْرِي لَأَنْ تَكَلَّمَ فتَأْمُرَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَتَنْهَى عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ»

✧ He asked the Messenger of God ﷺ: "Should I fast on Friday and not speak to anyone that day?" He said: "Do not fast on Friday except as part of days of which it is the last. As for not speaking to anyone, by my life, to speak and command good and forbid evil is better than to remain silent."
