حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
مَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «سَلُوا هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ بَعْدَ سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ وَاللهِ مَا مَسَحَ بَعْدَ الْمَائِدَةِ وَلَأَنْ أَمْسَحَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ عِيرٍ بَغْلاءَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَمْسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the khuffs, then said: Ask these people who claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the khuffs after Surah al-Ma'ida. By Allah, he did not wipe after al-Ma'ida. To wipe over the back of a piebald camel would be more beloved to me than to wipe over them.
