حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ عَوْسَجَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَرِثُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «ابْتَغُوا» فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا أَحَدًا يَرِثُهُ فَدَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِيرَاثَهُ إِلَى مَوْلًى لَهُ أَعْتَقَهُ الْمَيِّتُ هُوَ الَّذِي لَهُ الْوَلَاءُ هُوَ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَ

✧ A man died and left no inheritance for anyone. So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek out [relatives]." They could not find anyone to inherit him, so the Prophet ﷺ gave his inheritance to his freed slave who was loyal to him and the one who freed him.
