حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا لَمْ يَلْقَ الْعَدُوَّ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ أَخَّرَهُ حَتَّى يَهِبَّ الرِّيحُ وَيَكُونَ عِنْدَ مَوَاقِيتِ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ بِكَ أُصُولُ وَبِكَ أَجُولُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to delay the battle if he did not encounter the enemy early in the day, until the wind would blow and it would be time for the prayers. He used to say, "O Allah, with You is the provision, with You is the movement, and there is no power or strength except with Allah."
