حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَأَيْتُ بِالْأَبْطَحِ شَيْخًا أَحْمَقَ يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَالَ «أَوَلَيْسَ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَا أُمَّ لَكَ؟»

✧ I said to Ibn ʿAbbas: “I saw in al-Abtah an old foolish man who says the takbir when he prostrates and when he raises his head.” He said: “Is that not the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? May your mother lose you!”
