حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ §خَشِيَتْ سَوْدَةُ

أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمْسِكْنِي وَلَا تُطَلِّقْنِي وَاجْعَلْ يَوْمِي لِعَائِشَةَ فَفَعَلَ وَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {فَلَا جُنَاحَ} عَلَيْهِمَا أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ فَمَا اصْطَلَحَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ decided to divorce her. She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, keep me and do not divorce me, and give my day to Aisha.' He did so, and Allah ﷻ revealed: {There is no blame} upon them both if they make terms of peace between themselves; and peace is better. And whatever they agree upon by mutual consent is permissible.
