حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ثنا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَذَكَرَهُ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ كَانَتِ الْآخِرَةُ هَمَّهُ جَمَعَ اللهُ لَهُ شَمْلَهُ وَجَعَلَ غِنَاهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَأَتَتْهُ الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ رَاغِمَةٌ وَمَنْ كَانَتِ الدُّنْيَا هَمَّهُ فَرَّقَ اللهُ شَمْلَهُ وَجَعَلَ فَقْرَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَلَمْ يُؤْتِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَا كُتِبَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us in the mosque of al-Khayf. He praised Allah and mentioned Him as He deserves, then said: "Whoever makes the Hereafter his concern, Allah will gather his affairs, place his richness before his eyes, and the world will come to him submissively. And whoever makes the world his concern, Allah will scatter his affairs, place his poverty before his eyes, and nothing of the world will come to him except what is written."
