حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَذِيمَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا} إِلَّا عَلِيٌّ أَمِيرُهَا وشَريفُهَا وَلَقَدْ عَاتَبَ اللهُ أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي غَيْرِ مَكَانٍ وَمَا ذَكَرَ عَلِيًّا إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ
Translation

- Ibn ʿAbbās
✧ Allah did not reveal {O you who believe} except that Ali is its chief and its noble one. And Allah reproached the companions of Muhammad ﷺ in more than one place, and He mentioned Ali only with good.
