حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
«قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْهَدْي فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقِفَ بِعَرَفَةَ» فَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ فَأَخِّرُوا طَوَافَكُمْ حَتَّى تَرْجِعُوا
Translation

✧ “The Messenger of God ﷺ came with the sacrificial animal and circumambulated the House and went between al-Safa and al-Marwah before standing at ʿArafah.” As for you, O people of Makkah, delay your circumambulation until you return.
