حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الزُّعَيْزِعَةِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةُ تِمْثَالٍ وَالْمُصَوِّرُونَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُ لَهُمِ الرَّحْمَنُ قُومُوا إِلَى مَا صَوَّرْتُمْ فَلَا يَزَالُونَ يُعَذَّبُونَ حَتَّى تَنْطِقَ الصُّورَةُ وَلَا تَنْطِقُ

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image of a statue, and the image-makers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection in the Fire. The Most Merciful will say to them: ‘Give life to what you created,’ and they will remain in punishment until the image speaks, but it will not speak.”
