حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْفسويُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ دَرَخْتُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُجِيبٍ عَنْ وُهَيْبِ بْنِ الْوَرْدِ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَيَّدَني بِأَرْبَعَةِ وُزَرَاءَ نُقَبَاءَ» قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَرْبَعُ؟ قَالَ «اثْنَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ وَاثْنَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ» فَقُلْتُ مَنِ الاثْنَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ؟ قَالَ «جِبْرِيلُ وَمِيكَائِيلُ» قُلْنَا مَنِ الاثْنَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ؟ قَالَ «أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “God, exalted is He, supported me with four ministers, chiefs.” We said, ‘O Messenger of God, who are these four?’ He said: “Two from the people of heaven and two from the people of earth.” I said, ‘Who are the two from the people of heaven?’ He said: “Gabriel and Michael.” We said, ‘Who are the two from the people of earth?’ He said: “Abu Bakr and ʿUmar.”
