حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَشْعَثِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَانْتَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ «فَأَهْدَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ» هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَهِمَ فِيهِ وَرَوَاهُ أَصْحَابُ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَصْحَابُ عَطَاءٍ وَهُوَ الصَّوَابُ

✧ A man bit the hand of another man during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, and the latter pulled out his front tooth. The Prophet ﷺ declared it void. This is how Sa'id b. Amr narrated it from Sufyan from Amr from Ata from Ibn Abbas, and he erred in it. The companions of Ibn Uyayna narrated it from Ibn Uyayna from Amr from Ata from Safwan b. Ya'la b. Umayya from his father, and likewise the companions of Ata narrated it, which is the correct version.
