حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَهْرَيَارَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ مَا يَعْلَمُ مَبْلَغَهَا يَكْتُبُ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا رِضْوَانَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنَ الشَّرِّ مَا يَعْلَمُ مَبْلَغَهَا يَكْتُبُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا سَخَطَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, «A man may utter a word of goodness without knowing how far it will reach, and God will record His pleasure for him for it until the day he meets Him. And a man may utter a word of evil without knowing how far it will reach, and God will record His wrath against him for it until the day he meets Him.»
