حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ رِضْوَانِ اللهِ مَا يَظُنُّ أَنَّهَا تَبْلُغُ مَا بَلَغَتْ يَكْتُبُ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا رِضْوَانَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ سَخَطِ اللهِ مَا يَظُنُّ أَنْ تَبْلُغَ مَا بَلَغَتْ فَيَكْتُبُ اللهُ بِهَا عَلَيْهِ سَخَطَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, «A man may utter a word that earns God's pleasure without thinking it will reach what it has reached, and God will record His pleasure for him for it until the day he meets Him. And a man may utter a word that incurs God's wrath without thinking it will reach what it has reached, and God will record His wrath against him for it until the day he meets Him.»
