حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَمَاعَةَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابَانَ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَعَدَ الْعَبَّاسَ ذَوْدًا مِنْ إِبِلٍ فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَيْهِ فَبِتُّ عِنْدَهُ وَكَانَتْ لَيْلَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ غَيْرَ كَثِيرٍ فَتَوَسَّدْتُ الْوِسَادَةَ الَّتِي تَوَسَّدَها رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَتَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ وَأَقَلَّ هِرَاقَةَ الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَافْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ وَقُمْتُ فَتَوَضَّأْتُ وَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخْلَفَ بِيَدِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ» وَكَانَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ حَائِضًا فَقَامَتْ فَتَوَضَّأَتْ ثُمَّ قَعَدَتْ خَلْفَهُ تَذْكُرُ اللهَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ had promised al-Abbas a small herd of camels, so he sent me to him, and I stayed the night with him. It was the night of Maymunah bint al-Harith. The Prophet ﷺ arose after a short while, and I leaned on the pillow that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had leaned on. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up and performed ablution, making it complete while using very little water, then he stood and began the prayer. I got up, performed ablution, and stood to his left. He reached behind with his hand, took hold of my ear, and placed me on his right. Maymunah was menstruating, so she got up, performed ablution, then sat behind him remembering Allah.
