حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابَانَ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
لَمَّا زَوَّجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَاطِمَةَ عَلِيًّا قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ زَوَّجْتَنِي مِنْ رَجُلٍ فَقِيرٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ اخْتَارَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَبُوكِ وَالْآخَرُ زَوْجُكِ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ married Fatimah to Ali, Fatimah said, “O Messenger of Allah, you have married me to a poor man who has nothing.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Are you not pleased, O Fatimah, that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, chose from the people of the earth two men, one of them your father and the other your husband?”
