حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «لَأَقْتُلَنَّ الْعمالقةَ فِي كَتِيبَةٍ» فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ أَوْ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: “I will surely kill the ʿAmāliqah in a battalion.” Then Jibrīl ﷺ said: “Or ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib ؓ.”
