حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ زُرَيْقٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ جَالِسٌ §يَنْهَى
عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ فِي الْحَجِّ فَنَادَاهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِذَلِكَ قَدْ فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ فَحَلَّ رِجَالٌ فَتَمَتَّعُوا بِالْعُمْرَةِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُمْ هَدْيٌ وَطَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَوَقَعُوا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَجَلْ أُفْتِي بِذَلِكَ بِمَا فُعِلَ فِي عَهْدِ إِمَامِ الْمُتَّقِينَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَجُدْ بِنَفْسِكَ فَوَاللهِ لَئِنْ فَعَلْتَ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ بِأَحْجَارِكَ ثُمَّ انْتَهَى قَوْلُهُمَا

✧ About mutʿah in the Hajj, Ibn ʿAbbās called out to him, “We know better about that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did that, and men exited the state of iḥrām and performed tamattuʿ with the ʿUmrah. They had no sacrificial animals with them, and they circumambulated the House and between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah, and they had intercourse with women.” Then Ibn ʿAbbās said, “Indeed, I give this ruling based on what was done during the time of the Leader of the God-fearing.” Ibn al-Zubayr said, “Then be content with yourself, for by Allah, if you do that, I will surely stone you with your own stones.” Then their speech ended.
