حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْيَامِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ اسْتَاكَ ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَقْرَأُ {إِنَّ فِي اخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَنَامَ حَتَّى نَفَخَ فِي النَّوْمِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَفَعَلَ مِثْلَهَا ثُمَّ أَتَى مَضْجَعَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ كَمَا فَعَلَ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ بِثَلَاثٍ

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ woke up at night, he would clean his teeth with a siwak, then perform ablution and recite {Indeed in the alternation of night and day...} to the end of the two verses. Then he would stand and pray two rakʿahs, then leave and sleep until he breathed deeply in sleep. Then he would get up and do the same again. Then he would return to his bed. Then he would get up and pray two rakʿahs, then do the same as he did the first time. Then he would perform witr with three.
