حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ الْبَزَّازُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ أَبُو يَحْيَى صَاعِقَةُ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبِي قَدْ تَرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَنَا قُلْتُ مَا لَكَ قَدْ تَرَكْتَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَنَا؟ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ تُخَفِّفُونَ قُلْتُ وَأَيْنَ قَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «إِنَّ فِيكُمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ» ؟ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَلَاثَةَ أَضْعَافِ مَا تُصَلُّونَ

✧ My father had stopped praying with us. I said: "What is the matter with you that you have stopped praying with us?" He said: "You make it too light." I said: "What about the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: 'Among you are the old, the weak, and those with needs'?" He said: "I heard 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud say that." Then he prayed three times as much as you pray.
