✧ The eighteen men from the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ who were killed on the day of Badr: God placed their souls in Paradise in green birds that roam freely in Paradise. He said: While they were like that, your Lord looked upon them with a glance and said: “O My servants, what do you desire?” They said: “Our Lord, there is nothing above this.” He said: “O My servants, what do you desire?” They said on the fourth time: “Return our souls to our bodies so that we may be killed as we were killed.”
