حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ
خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ فَجَاءَ الْأَنْصَارُ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ «هَكَذَا يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ went out to the Mosque of Qubāʾ. The Anṣār came to greet him. I said to Bilal: How did the Messenger of God ﷺ respond to them? He said: “Like this,” gesturing with his hand.
