حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ ثنا أَبُو دُهْقَانَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ بِلَالًا حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَهُ ضَيْفٌ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ بِطَعَامٍ فَأَتَاهُ بِتَمْرٍ فَأَعْجَبَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرُ فَقَالَ «مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا التَّمْرُ؟» فَقَالَ أَبْدَلْتُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ فَقَالَ «رُدَّ عَلَيْنَا تَمْرَنَا» فَرَدَّهُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ had a guest come to him, so he ordered him to bring him food. He brought him dates, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was impressed by those dates. He said: “Where did you get these dates?” He said: I exchanged one sāʿ for two sāʿs. He said: “Return our dates to us.” So he returned them.
