حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ
صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ وَعَبْدِ اللهِ فَرَأَيْتُهُمَا يُسَلِّمَانِ عَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمَا وَعَنْ شَمَائِلِهِمَا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُمَا صَلَّيَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنَ الْجَانِبَيْنِ

✧ I prayed with ʿAli and ʿAbdullah, and I saw them give the salam to their right and to their left: “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah; peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.” He claimed that they both prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he gave the salam to his right: “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah,” and to his left: “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah,” until the whiteness of his cheek was seen from both sides.
