حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْأَعْرَجُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِنًى فَأُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِحَيَّةٍ فَطَلَبُوهَا فَفَاتَتْهُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَقَدْ وُقِيتُمْ شَرَّهَا كَمَا وُقِيَتْ شَرَّكُمْ»

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ at Mina when al-Mursalat was revealed to him, and suddenly there was a snake. They sought it, but it eluded them. The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have been protected from its evil just as it was protected from your evil."
