حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَعْيُنِ الْعَبْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ الْجُشَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْقِرَدَةِ وَالْخَنَازِيرِ مِنْ نَسْلِ الْيَهُودِ هُمْ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَمْ يَلْعَنْ قَوْمًا قَطُّ فَمَسَخَهُمْ فَكَانَ لَهُمْ نَسْلٌ حَتَّى يُهْلِكَهُمْ وَلَكِنْ هَذَا خَلْقٌ كَانَ فَلَمَّا غَضِبَ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ مَسَخَهُمْ فَجَعَلَهُمْ مِثْلَهُمْ»

✧ We asked the Messenger of God ﷺ whether apes and pigs are from the lineage of the Jews. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “God, may He be exalted, has never cursed a people and then transformed them so that they had descendants until He destroyed them. Rather, this was a creation that existed, and when God, may He be exalted, became angry with the Jews, He transformed them and made them like them.”
