حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ السُّلَمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ حِقٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْجَذْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْجَارُودِ الْعَبْدِيِّ، قَالَ:

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَفِي الظَّهْرِ قِلَّةٌ، فَتَذَاكَرْنَا مَا يَكْفِينَا مِنَ الظَّهْرِ، فَقُلْتُ: ذَوْدٌ نَأْتِي عَلَيْهِنَّ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ، فَنَسْتَمْتِعُ بِظُهُورِهِنَّ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَقُ النَّارِ

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and there were few riding camels, so we discussed what would suffice us of riding camels. I said, 'A small herd that we would come to in the middle of the night and enjoy riding them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The lost camel of a Muslim is the burning of the Fire.'
