machine translationIbn ʿAwn narrated it from Ibrāhīm al-Nakhaʿī, from ʿAlqamah, from ʿAbdullāh, raising it to the Prophet (marfūʿ); ʿUthmān b. al-Haytham al-Muʾadhdhin narrated it thus from Ibn ʿAwn. Sālim b. Nūḥ also narrated it from Ibn ʿAwn, inclining toward raising it as well, and he said in it: ʿAbdullāh said: "Thus we were taught." And al-Naḍr b. Shumayl narrated it from Ibn ʿAwn as a statement stopping at Ibn Masʿūd (mawqūf), and that is the correct form of Ibn ʿAwn's narration.
