حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ الْإِخْمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْإِخْمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَيْلِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، أَنَّ حُمْرَانَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ:

أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ ؓ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ نَحْوَ وُضُوئِي هَذَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ نَحْوَ وُضُوئِي، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يُحَدِّثُ فِيهِمَا نَفْسَهُ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

✧ 'Uthman ؓ performed ablution three times, then said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution like this ablution of mine.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs ablution like my ablution, then prays two rak'ahs without speaking to himself in them except good, his previous sins will be forgiven.'
