حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعُ، نَا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ لَهَا شَاةٌ تَحْتَلِبُهَا، فَفَقَدَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَا فَعَلَتْ شَاتُكُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا: مَاتَتْ، قَالَ: " أَفَلَا انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا ؟ " قُلْنَا: إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ دِبَاغَهَا يُحِلُّهَا، كَمَا يُحِلُّ الْخَلُّ الْخَمْرَ

✧ She had a sheep that she milked. The Prophet ﷺ missed it and said: What happened to your sheep? They said: It died. He said: Why did you not make use of its hide? We said: It is carrion. He said: Its tanning makes it lawful, just as vinegar makes wine lawful.
