✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ taught us the istikhāra prayer. He said: “Let one of you say: O God, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek Your power by Your might, and I ask You of Your abundant favor. For You are able and I am not able, and You know and I do not know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. If this matter—naming it by its name—is good for me in my religion and in my livelihood, and good for me in the outcome of my affair, and good for me in all matters, then decree it for me and bless me in it. And if other than that is better for me, then decree for me the good wherever it may be and make me content with it.”
