حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْغَافِقِيِّ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ:

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَتْ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ النِّكَاحُ وَالطَّلَاقُ وَالْعِدَّةُ وَالْمِيرَاثُ نَهَى عَنْهَا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prohibited mut'ah. It was only for those who could not find [a wife]. When marriage, divorce, waiting period, and inheritance were revealed, he prohibited it.
