حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ، ثَنَا آدَمُ، ثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ:

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ قَالَ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ قَالَ: بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا

Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ woke up, he would say: 'Praise be to Allah who gave us life after He caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.' And when the Prophet ﷺ slept, he would say: 'In Your name, O Allah, we die and we live.'
