حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو قُرَّةَ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ زَمْعَةُ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ، وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلِ اللَّائِي بَايَعْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ أُخْتُ عُكَّاشَةَ بْنِ مِحْصَنٍ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ

أَنَّهَا أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِابْنٍ لَهَا لَمْ يَبْلُغْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الطَّعَامَ، فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ " أَنَّ ابْنَهَا بَالَ فِي حِجْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَاءٍ، فَنَضَحَ عَلَى بَوْلِهِ، وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ غَسْلًا ".

✧ She brought her son to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before he had reached the age of eating food, and she told him that her son had urinated in the Prophet’s lap ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for water and sprinkled it over his urine, but did not wash it thoroughly.
