✧ God singled out His Messenger ﷺ from this fay' with something He gave no one else. God Almighty said: 'And what God restored to His Messenger from them, you did not spur on for it any horse or riding camel' (Qur'an 59:6). This was exclusively for the Messenger of God ﷺ. By God, he did not choose it instead of you, nor did he keep it for himself to your exclusion. He gave it to you, until there remained of it this wealth that remains. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ would spend on his family their yearly maintenance from this wealth, then take what remained and put it in the place of God's wealth. The Messenger of God ﷺ acted accordingly throughout his life until he passed away. Then 'Umar later said to 'Uthman, 'Abd al-Rahman, al-Zubayr, and Sa'd, while they were with him: 'I adjure you by God, do you know that?' They said: 'Yes.'
