✧ Mas'ada b. Sa'd al-'Attar al-Makki

حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ. عَنْ جَدِّهِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:

حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الشَّجَرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بَرِيدًا فِي بَرِيدٍ، وَأَرْسَلَنِي فَأَعْلَمْتُ عَلَى الْحَرَمِ، عَلَى شَرَفِ ذَاتِ الْجَيْشِ، وَعَلَى شَرِيثٍ، وَعَلَى مَخِيضٍ، وَعَلَى نَبْتٍ ".

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared the trees of Madinah inviolable for a distance of one barid in every direction. He sent me to mark the sanctuary: at Sharaf Dhat al-Jaysh, at Sharith, at Makhid, and at Nabt.
