✧ The thing I fear most for you is what Allah will bring out for you of the blessings of the earth." It was said: "What are the blessings of the earth?" He said: "The splendor of this world." A man said: "Does good ever bring evil?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent until we thought that revelation would descend upon him. Then he began wiping the sweat from his forehead and said: "Where is the questioner: 'Does good ever bring evil?'" The man said: "Here I am." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, good does not bring anything except good"—three times—"and this wealth is green and sweet. Everything that the spring rain causes to grow can kill or nearly kill, except the animal that grazes on green pasture: it eats until its flanks are full, then it faces the sun, chews the cud, defecates, and urinates, then returns to eat again. Indeed, this wealth is green and sweet. Whoever takes it rightfully and spends it rightfully, what an excellent help it is. And whoever takes it without right is like one who eats but never feels full."
