  • العقيلي

هكذا رواه الناس عن داود موقوفا وهو أولى ولا نعرف أحدا رفعه إلا عمر بن المغيرة ولا يتابع على رفعه

machine translationThis is how the people narrated it from Dāwūd, as a statement of a Companion (mawqūf), and that is more correct. We do not know anyone who attributed it to the Prophet (rafaʿahu) except ʿUmar b. al-Mughīrah, and he is not corroborated in attributing it to the Prophet.

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 8955
  • al-Dhahabi

    المحفوظ موقوف

machine translationThe preserved (maḥfūẓ) version is that it is halted (mawqūf).
