حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا أَسَدٌ: ثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: " قَالَ اللهُ:

خَلَقْتُ خَلْقًا أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ أَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ، وَقُلُوبُهُمْ أَمَرُّ مِنَ الصَّبْرِ، حَتَّى حَلَفْتُ لَأُتِيحَنَّهُمْ فِتْنَةً تَدَعُ الْحَلِيمَ فِيهِمْ حَيْرَانَ، فَبِي يَغْتَرُّونَ، وَعَلَيَّ يَجْتَرِئُونَ

✧ I created creatures whose tongues are sweeter than honey, but whose hearts are more bitter than aloes. So I have sworn to afflict them with a trial that will leave the forbearing among them bewildered. In Me they are deceived, and against Me they are emboldened.
