✧ Wine was forbidden, and at that time they had no nabidh except from unripe and ripe dates. I was serving Abu Talhah, Suhayl b. Bayda', and Abu 'Ubaydah b. al-Jarrah, when suddenly the caller of the Prophet ﷺ called out twice: 'Indeed wine has been forbidden.' So we poured it out, and it was nothing but unripe and ripe dates.
