✧ One night a leg of a sheep was gifted to us from the house of Abu Bakr. She said: 'By Allah, I was holding it for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was cutting it,' or 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ held it while I was cutting it.' I said: 'O Mother of the Believers, was that by a lamp?' She said: 'If we had had lamp oil, we would have eaten it. A month would pass upon the household of Muhammad ﷺ in which they neither baked bread nor cooked.'
