وَبِهِ: حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

قَالَ إِبْلِيسُ لِرَبِّهِ: بِعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلَالِكَ لَا أَبْرَحُ أُغْوِي بَنِي آدَمَ مَا دَامَتِ الْأَرْوَاحُ فِيهِمْ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ: بِعِزَّتِي وَجَلَالِي لَا أَبْرَحُ أَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَغْفَرُونِي

Translation

✧ Iblis said to his Lord, 'By Your might and Your majesty, I will not cease misleading the children of Adam as long as their souls are in them.' His Lord said to him, 'By My might and My majesty, I will not cease forgiving them as long as they seek My forgiveness.'
